The middle groove is formed in the surface of a working face base plate. One end of the transition groove is arranged on the surface of the working face base plate. The other end of the transition groove extends out of the working face base plate and is connected with the head frame. The head frame is arranged below the horizontal plane of the working face base plate. A tongue plate assembly is arranged in the head frame. An intra-groove plate is arranged in the middle groove in the length direction of the middle groove. The tongue plate assembly is horizontally connected with the intra-groove plate. According to the flat middle plate scraper conveyor head, the head frame is located below the horizontal plane of the working face base plate, the tongue plate assembly in the head frame is horizontally connected with the intra-groove plate in the middle groove, and thus the flat middle plate scraper conveyor head can be adapted to the environment that the space of a thin and middle fully-mechanized coal mining working face is narrow; in addition, a middle plate is free of elevation angle, the situation that a middle plate of an existing scraper conveyor needs to climb is avoided, and abrasion caused by the elevation angle of the middle plate is effectively reduced.
