The invention discloses a connector used for an electric car and the electric car. The connector comprises a socket end and a plug end. The socket end can be connected with a battery of the electric car. Two plane socket end high voltage terminals and at least one plane socket end low voltage terminal are arranged on the socket end. The plug end can be connected with a car body of the electric car and with the socket end. Two plane plug end high voltage terminals and at least one plane plug end low voltage terminal are arranged on the plug end. Multiple bosses are arranged on each of the plug end high voltage terminals. When the socket end is connected with the plug end, the bosses contact with planes of the corresponding socket end high voltage terminals, and the plug end low voltage terminals contact with the planes of the socket end low voltage terminals. According to the invention, cooperation stroke of the connector is short; the plug end high voltage terminals reliably contact with the socket end high voltage terminals; and arc-pulling phenomena are not liable to generate.
