Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides an eccentric screw pump with overpressure protection. Eccentric screw pump having an outer part (2) and an inner part (3) arranged therein, of which one part (2, 3) is driven rotatably and one part (2, 3) can perform an eccentric movement with respect to the other part (3, 2). The thread turns (5a, 5b) of the outer part (2) are wound along the axial length (L) thereof by less than one whole helix, with the result that, during operation, conveying chambers are produced which are open on both sides and by way of which sudden decompressions take place.
