Recommendation method and terminal for associative vocabularies in input method

The invention discloses a recommendation method for associative vocabularies in an input method. The method comprises: when the input method is called in a current application program, calling the input method to obtain identifier information of the current application program; according to the identifier information, looking for search information corresponding to the identifier information in a preset position of an operating system of a terminal; and if the search information corresponding to the identifier information is found in the preset position of the operating system of the terminal, when input is performed with the input method in the current application program, raising the recommendation priority of search information related vocabularies in the associative vocabularies provided for a user by the input method. The invention furthermore discloses a recommendation terminal for the associative vocabularies in the input method. According to the recommendation method and apparatus, the recommendation accuracy of the associative vocabularies in the input method is effectively improved and the input efficiency of the user by utilizing the recommended associative vocabularies in the input method is improved.
