The invention further discloses application of the sesquiterpenoids. It is shown by activity tests that the sesquiterpenoids has a very good inhibiting effect on tobacco mosaic viruses and can be used as a lead compound for resisting the tobacco mosaic virus for researching and developing a pharmaceutical preparation for resisting the tobacco mosaic viruses.
