Zusammenfassung:Provided is a vehicle drive device with which it is possible to reduce the shock generated in conjunction with the engagement of the clutch after a speed change in a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission and a clutch. The device has: a target speed-change engine torque calculation unit, which calculates a target engine torque (Tet) during a change of speed with the manual transmission (4) when the clutch (3) is not fully engaged, said calculation being made on the basis of the clutch torque (Tc) obtained by a clutch sensor (54) and the rotational speed of an input shaft (41) after a speed change; and an engine control unit (10) that controls the engine (2) when the clutch (3) is not fully engaged so as to achieve the target engine torque (Tet).
