The steel band comprises a protective steel band body and a power cable, the protective steel band body comprises positioning segments hinged to each other, each positioning segment comprises at least two protective side plates, at least two connecting horizontal plates and at least one positioning buckle, the protective side plates are vertically connected with the connecting horizontal plates to form a tubular frame structure, the positioning buckle is mounted at the inner surface of the connecting horizontal plate, the power cable is embedded into the positioning segments via the positioning buckles, the two ends of each protective side plate are provided with hinged shaft holes respectively, and the protective side plate is hinged to the protective side plate of the adjacent positioning segment via the hinged shaft holes. According to the steel band, resistance to tension and extrusion and impact of outside force of the cable is improved, the safety and protection performance of power utilization is improved, the bending performance and bending positioning capability of the cable are effectively ensured, and the using flexibility and reliability are improved.
