A device for exhausting and removing cooking fumes comprises a fume exhauster and an air flue connected with an air outlet of the fume exhauster. The device is characterized in that multiple layers of filtering screens are arranged in the vertical section of the air flue, and the pore diameter of the filtering screens ranges from 8 meshes to 10 meshes; a plurality of water spray nozzles are arranged on the filtering screens, and the water spray nozzles are connected with a liquid containing cavity capable of containing a solution through a water supply pipe and a water pump; and an outlet is formed in the bottom of the vertical section of the air flue, and the outlet is communicated with the liquid containing cavity. Compared with the prior art, the device has the beneficial effects of being capable of filtering the cooking fumes, preventing polluting of outdoor air and effectively preventing the cooking fumes from polluting the interior of a room.
