The tilting pad bearing comprises a tilting pad bearing, wherein the tilting pad bearing is provided with a testing element, and a display instrument electrically connected with the testing element; a hole is formed in the back surface of the tilting pad bearing; the testing element is positioned in the hole; and the testing element comprises a pressure measuring element and a temperature measuring element. The bearing and a method can be used for instantly measuring and monitoring a numerical value of residual pump axial force on line under various scene working conditions.
