The rapid generation-adding method is used in an area, located at 101 degrees, 58 minutes east longitude and 23 degrees, 36 minutes northern latitude, with an elevation of 430 meters and annual average temperature of 23.8 DEG C. From February in the first year to February in the next year, a direct-seeding manner is adopted and rice low-generation breeding material is utilized for generation-adding breeding three times a year. The amount of rice breeding at the first time, second time and third time is all 20g/m . As for three-time generation-adding breeding, alternation of wetting and drying operation is performed for water and starch management without applying nitrogenous fertilizers in the overall growing season. The rapid generation-adding method for rice breeding has following beneficial effects: generations can be added three times a year; generation-adding breeding at each time helps to ensure all individual plants normally bear fruits, thereby ensuring that originality of material and saving breeding cost. Service lifetime of breeding is greatly shortened and breeding progress is accelerated. |
