Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a heat-resistant gasket able to prevent relaxation of stress due to heat and to maintain exceptional sealing performance even in high-temperature environments. To achieve this goal, the gasket is provided with: a first coated plate (1) made of metal, in which is formed an embossed portion (11) of continuous annular shape; a second coated plate (2) made of metal, arranged facing the first coated plate (1) in the thickness direction, and joined to the first coated plate (1) in a state of mutual superimposition in intimate contact at the ends (1a 2a) at the inside circumferential side of the embossed portion (11), and with the convex surface (11a) of the embossed portion (11) in close contact thereagainst; and a core (3) comprising expanded graphite (31, 32) sandwiched between the first coated plate (1) and the second coated plate (2), between the superimposed portions of the embossed portion (11) and the ends (1a 2a).
