Zusammenfassung: | A naphtha fraction is subjected to an isomerization treatment to decrease the concentration of a linear saturated hydrocarbon compound and increase the concentration of a branched saturated hydrocarbon compound in the naphtha fraction in a naphtha isomerization reaction facility (12). Butane is subjected to an isomerization treatment to decrease the concentration of normal-butane and increase the concentration of iso-butane in the butane in a butane isomerization reaction facility (14), and the naphtha fraction is thermally decomposed together with water vapor in a water vapor thermal decomposition facility (13). The concentration of the branched saturated hydrocarbon compound to be treated in the water vapor thermal decomposition facility (13) relative to the concentration of the linear saturated hydrocarbon compound to be treated in the water vapor thermal decomposition facility (13) is altered to increase or decrease the production amount of a basic chemical raw material, which is a by-product, relative to the production amount of ethylene. It becomes possible to ensure both a good balance between the supply and demand of ethylene and a good balance between the supply and demand the basic compound. |
