Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to the ink-jet technology field of an ink-jet recording device, especially to an ink cartridge chip and a light-emitting control method thereof, an ink cartridge, a printer and an ink cartridge installation detection method thereof. According to the ink cartridge installation detection system and method composed of the ink cartridge chip, the ink cartridge and the printer provided by the invention, the printer is actively or passively closed by the control circuit of the printer, when the ink cartridge is installed at a wrong position, thereby avoiding system faults and wasting of printing ink resources because of continuous printing of files caused by users' carelessness or program error.
