The present invention increases the conductivity between a crimping terminal and a covered wire. This method for producing a connection structure (1) by crimping/connecting a covered wire (200) and a crimping terminal (10) by means of a crimping section (30) in the crimping terminal (10) provided with the crimping section (30), which permits a crimped connection of a wire tip (200a) of a covered wire such that a conductor (201) is covered by an insulating covering (202). The crimping section (30) is configured having a hollow cross-section shape; in the given order from the tip end to the base end in the lengthwise direction (X) thereof are disposed a conductive crimping section (31b) that crimps to a conductive tip (201a), and a covered crimping section (31a) that crimps to a covered tip (202a); the covered crimping section (31a) is configured in a hollow cross-section shape; the portion to the tip side of the crimping section (30) of the crimping terminal (10) is configured in a sealed manner; and when crimping/connecting the crimping section (30) to the wire tip (200a), the crimping of the conductive crimping section (31b) starts before the crimping of the covered crimping section (31a).
