The invention discloses a system and a method for screening mass junk faxes. The system comprises a controller, an incoming telegram reading module, a feedback code processing module, a voice processing module and a memory, wherein the incoming telegram reading module is used for reading an incoming telegram number from a transmitting party and transmitting the incoming telegram number to the controller; the feedback code processing module is in charge of randomly generating a feedback code and verifying the consistency of the feedback code; the voice processing module is used for converting the feedback code into a voice prompt format, and generating a voice for requiring the transmitting party to transmit the feedback code according the feedback code and a preset voice prompt; the memory is used for storing a white list, the feedback code, the value of a feedback error counter, and voice information; the controller is used for calling the above functional modules and controlling the receiving and screening of faxes according to the processing results of each module. The system and the method of the invention could effectively screen the junk faxes transmitted via an automatic mass faxing device, and are simple and convenient.
