A gesture control method based on flexible mapping between a gesture and multiple meanings of the invention comprises the following steps: first, screening out possible interaction intentions of an operator; then, further narrowing down the gesture meaning of the operator to a smaller meaning set based on interaction context information; and further locking the gesture meaning of the operator based on SDFBM characteristics. The beneficial effect is that one gesture can correspond to multiple meanings, the number of gesture commands needing definition is reduced, so that users can complete gesture command interaction without memorizing gesture commands or by memorizing gesture commands as few as possible and can complete an interaction task naturally without memorizing a large number of gesture commands, interaction is not interrupted or the smoothness of interaction is not affected due to wrong operation of an operator, and the cognitive load and operation load on users are greatly reduced.
