Electronic device with enhanced method of displaying notifications

There is disclosed an electronic device (100) comprising a receiver (201), a display (105), an application processor (203) and a sensor hub (223). The receiver (201) is configured to receive notifications (320) from a remote device. The display (105) is configured to provide information including notifications. The application processor (203) and the sensor hub (223) are in communication with the display (105). The application processor (203) is configured to provide instructions for displaying full screen information at the display during a non-sleep mode (302) of the electronic device (100). The full screen information includes a first notification associated with information received by the electronic device during the non-sleep mode (310). The sensor hub (223) is configured to provide instructions for displaying partial screen information (610, 804, 806, 808, 810) at the display (105) during a sleep mode (306) of the electronic device (100). The partial screen information includes a second notification (404, 405, 406, 407, 408, 416) associated with information received by the electronic device during the sleep mode (306).
