The invention relates to a battery module (30, 60), comprising a plurality of battery cells (11) and a plurality of containers (10) for accommodating the battery cells (11). Each container (10) of the battery module (30, 60) comprises a container bottom (14), a container cover (13), and container walls (12), which are arranged between the container bottom (14) and the container cover (13) and are made of plastic. Furthermore, each container bottom (14) comprises a cooling plate (24), which is integrated on the container bottom (14) in such a way that heat-conducting contact can be established between a battery cell (11) arranged in the particular container (10) and the cooling plate (24).
