The invention discloses a session disaster recovery method and a device thereof, thereby realizing a purpose of successively accessing session data by a client application when an abnormity of a session storage medium occurs. The session disaster recovery method can comprise the steps of loading session configuration information, presetting a disaster recovery intervention role database which comprises a disaster recovery intervention rule, and presetting a storage medium switching sequence in a session configuration file; when a checking triggering condition for a random disaster recovery intervention rule in the disaster recovery intervention role database is satisfied, automatically checking whether the session storage medium which is determined by the session configuration information that is loaded in the session configuration file requires intervention by means of the random disaster recovery intervention rule; if yes, determining a next session storage medium which corresponds with the session storage medium that requires intervention according to the storage medium switching sequence; and loading the configuration information which corresponds with the next session storage medium into the session configuration file so that the configuration information which corresponds with the session storage medium which requires intervention in the session configuration file to the configuration information that corresponds with the next session storage medium.
