Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a rotary machine and a control method for the same, and operation efficiency of the rotary machine is further improved. The machine comprises a rotor, a moving blade fixed on the rotor, a machine room configured facing the moving blade, the inner surface of the machine room being provided with a stator blade, a bearing configured out of the machine room and supporting the rotor and being supported on a stand, a moving portion which is on the radial direction of the rotor and makes the machine room move relative to the positions of the stand, a detection portion which detects operating states, and a control portion which controls the moving portion based on results detected by the detection portion, so as to control relative positions of the machine room and the rotor.
