Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a device and a method for testing the transparent effect of a transparent display substrate, which solves the problem in the prior art that the transparent effect of the transparent display substrate is poor in test precision under the interference of the ambient light. The device comprises a transparency identification module, an optical measuring device and a reference object provided with two different color regions. The optical measuring device can be used for directly measuring the brightness of the two different color regions of the reference object so as to acquire a first brightness difference, or measuring the brightness of the two different color regions of the reference object so as to acquire a second brightness difference through the transparent display substrate. The transparency identification module calculates the identification degree ID of the transparent display substrate according to the first brightness difference and the second brightness difference, based on the calculation formula img file='DDA0000719239090000011.TIF' wi='388' he='139', wherein delta L1 represents the first brightness difference and delta L2 represents the second brightness difference.
