The present invention relates to a thread protecting cap forming and tapping machine. The thread protecting cap forming and tapping machine comprises a frame, a worm gear reducer, a motor, a screw, a nut, a forming tap, a fixed pedestal and a jacking mechanism; the motor and the worm gear reducer are installed on the frame; a worm of the worm gear reducer is connected with the motor; the nut is fixed on the frame; a limiting switch is disposed over the nut; the limiting switch is connected with the motor; the screw passes through the nut, an upper end of the screw is connected with the worm gear reducer, and a lower end of the screw is connected with the forming tap; the intermediate position of the screw is provided with a limiting ring with position adjustable; the fixed pedestal is installed at the bottom of the frame and used for disposing a thread protecting cap before thread machining and fixing the thread protecting cap; and the jacking mechanism used for jacking the machined thread protecting cap is disposed at the bottom of the fixed pedestal. The thread protecting cap forming and tapping machine is simple in structure, easy to operate and convenient to maintain, efficiency of machining thread protecting cap screw thread is improved, labor intensity of operators is reduced, and batch thread protecting cap products after screw threads are machined are high in qualified rate and good in consistency.
