In the partial discharging monitoring device 20, an insulator with a built-in capacitor 24 is received in a metallic container, where an electric device 10 as a monitored object is received, the capacitor is connected to a voltage bus 12 and a grounding bus 14, and the capacitor supplies charging current i0 accompanied with charging current to the electric device generating partial charging. A current detector 28 detecting the charging current running through the ground wire is arranged on the grounding wire 26 of the capacitor. The partial discharging monitoring device further includes a signal processing device 30 detecting the charging current value detected by the current detector.
