The invention relates to the front (102) of a row of units (101) comprising at least two grooves (110, 111), said grooves being designed, in particular, as grip strips (112) or in particular as design joints. Said row of units (101) comprise consecutively arranged modules (R, ML). Grooves (110, 111) are arranged on horizontally adjacent panels (106, 107) in a first position on the front of the unit essentially in succession and in an offset-free manner and a form a horizontally extending channel. Said grooves receive, in a second position of the unit front, in the orientation with respect to each other, a vertical misalignment. The front comprises at least one closure means (Vl-111, V2-110) and at least one of the grooves is closed by the closure means on the side of the subsequent adjacent groove on a free end.
