Zusammenfassung:	A method for a protection device to use a pulse quantity to distinguish CT secondary side line breaking is disclosed. The method comprises the following main steps that the protection device collects a secondary current in real time during an operation process; when a pulse current is measured, protection is started; after a condition is satisfied, the CT secondary side line breaking is determined and then an alarm signal and an alarm message are emitted; protection without locking is performed. The method can be served as a supplement of an original CT secondary side line breaking criterion.
