The forming method comprises the following steps of (1) preparing fermented doughs into strips; (2) quantitatively cutting strip-shaped doughs into block-shaped doughs; (3) rounding the block-shaped doughs; (4) shaping the tops of the rounded doughs; (5) conveying to the next working procedure; the step (2) is automatically finished by adopting a dough feeding device, the step (3) is automatically finished by adopting a rounding mechanism, the step (4) is automatically finished by adopting a shaping mechanism, and the step (5) is automatically finished by adopting a round steamed bun output device. The forming method has the characteristics that the size and shape of the round steamed bun can be accurately controlled, mechanical automation production is realized, and the labor intensity of people is reduced.
