Method and device for determining a state of a measuring transducer integrated in a process vessel

The method according to the invention for determining a state of a measuring transducer (4, 5) integrated in a process vessel (2), wherein one or more processes are performed in the process vessel (2) and the measuring transducer (4, 5) detects at least one physical or chemical process parameter inside the process vessel, comprises the steps: - identifying a process currently being performed in the process vessel (2); - determining a deviating value as a measure of a deviation of a measured value progression detected by the measuring transducer (4, 5) during the process currently being performed in the process vessel (2) from a measured value progression expected for the process identified, wherein the state of the measuring transducer and/or of the process is determined taking into account the deviating value.
