Zusammenfassung: | An outer-rotor electromagnetic brake is disclosed. The invention relates to the outer-rotor electromagnetic brake. An electromagnetic brake is a contact-type brake which generates braking torque through an effect of a friction disc. The friction disc will be abrased after long time usage so that system reliability is reduced. An annular excitation coil (1) which is winded on an annular coil rack is arranged on an inner stator (3). A winding direction of the annular excitation coil (1) is vertical to a motor output shaft (4). An outer rotor (2) is arranged on the inner stator (3). A motor shell (5) is arranged on the outer rotor (2). The outer rotor (2) is arranged on the motor output shaft (4). A left side of the motor shell (5), a left side of the inner stator (3), a left side of the outer rotor (2) and the motor output shaft (4) are connected to a rear end cover (6) through screws (7).
