Zusammenfassung:	The present invention discloses an installation method for the CentOS operating system, and an apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: assigning an IP address for the access client, and sending the IP address to the client; sending the guiding installation procedures and the guiding installation file of the CentOS operating system to the client corresponding to the IP address; performing the guiding procedures according to the guiding file to install the guiding system of the CentOS operating system to the client; and installing the CentOS operating system to the client based on the guiding system. According to the present invention, the IP address is automatically assigned to the client, and the guiding installation procedures and the guiding installation file of the CentOS operating system are assigned to the client, which achieve an automatic deployment for the CentOS operating system, overcome the problem that the deployment is hard when the operating system is installed in batch in the prior art, and improve automatic installing efficiency of the CentOS operating system.
