The present invention discloses a backlight module possessing light-emitting mode switching design and a display module using the same. The backlight module comprises a first light source, a second light source and a control module, and the light rays generated by the first light source possess a first emission frequency spectrum, wherein the first emission frequency spectrum possesses a first blue light wave crest and a first non-blue light wave crest. The light rays generated by the second light source possess a second emission frequency spectrum, wherein the second emission frequency spectrum possesses a second blue light wave crest and a second non-blue light wave crest, and the intensity peak of the first blue light wave crest is greater than the intensity peak of the second blue light wave crest. The control module controls the first and second light sources according to the design of a first mode and a second mode, under the first mode, lightens the first light source as a backlight source, and under the second mode, controls the first and second light sources to be lightened alternatively according to a timing sequence as the backlight source.
