A copper electrolyte addition agent added with phenylalanine is composed of, by weight, 10 parts to 11 parts of gelatin, 0.3 part to 0.4 part of nano tea polyphenol, 13 parts to 14 parts of thiourea, 0.3 part to 0.4 part of phenylalanine, 0.3 part to 0.4 part of nano-crystalline cellulose, the proper amount of deionized water and 3 parts to 4 parts of 75wt percent sulfuric acid. The phenylalanine and the nano-crystalline cellulose are used in the copper electrolyte addition agent, so that the electrolytic efficiency is improved; the addition agent is suitable for purifying copper mine with low grade, the purity of the obtained cathode copper is high, the impurity is lower than 39ppm, and the addition agent meets the national standard; the nano tea polyphenol is added, so that the oxidation resistance and antisepsis performance of the gelatin can be improved, and the service life can be prolonged; and the production process enables viscosity of the gelatin to be kept stable, and the phenomena that due to the viscosity is too large, copper foil is mixed up with the gelatin, and the copper foil becomes rough are avoided.
