Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a roof module for a vehicle roof (12) of a passenger vehicle, comprising at least one covering element (34) that is guided along lateral guiding elements (32), which are mutually spaced in a vehicle transverse direction, so as to be adjustable between a closed position, in which a roof opening (14) is covered, and an open position, in which the roof opening (14) is released at least in a sub-region. At least one of the guiding elements (32) is designed as an energy absorption element (40) at least in an absorption region (38), the energy absorption element being deformable, thereby absorbing energy, upon an at least indirect impact of the head of a vehicle occupant against the energy absorption element (40).
