Regression-based cost modeling method and device for predicting SQL statement performance

The invention provides a regression-based cost modeling method and device for predicting SQL statement performance, wherein the method comprises the steps as follows: repeatedly executing an SQL statement; dynamically capturing an execution cost and a cost index of the SQL statement, wherein the cost index at least comprises at least one of a data volume index, a concurrency index and an SQL statement performance index; and dynamically establishing a regression-based cost model based on the history of the execution cost and cost index of the captured SQL statement, wherein the parameters of the cost model comprise the execution cost and the cost index. The embodiment of the invention greatly improves the predicating accuracy of the cost modeling method to the SQL statement execution cost or performance.
