The present invention provides a compressor that can be assembled easily and can improve the salability of a check valve. In addition, the invention also provides a refrigeration cycling apparatus comprising the compressor. The compressor comprises a hermetic container (2); a compression mechanism (3) set inside the hermetic container (2) and has a compression chamber (16), a suction port (31) and a suction passage (32); a through passage (41) that penetrates the wall of the hermetic container (2) and communicates the suction port (31) and the hermetic container (2); and a check valve (33) that is set in the suction passage (32); a sealing tube is pressed in the side of the suction passage (32) nearer to the inlet port (31) than the check valve (33); the end of the sealing tube at the side near to the check valve (33) is processed through mechanical processing in high precision; the check valve (33) abuts against the end face of the sealing tube, so that the suction passage (32) is closed.
