The method comprises the following steps: selecting a cultivation garden plot, namely, selecting sandy loam having an open land and good drainage performance, and evenly arranging a plurality of drainage ditches in the garden plot; selecting mulberry branches, namely, selecting annual branches which are thick and rich, full in winter buds and free from diseases and pests before mulberries sprout, evenly cutting the stored branches into a plurality of section of cuttings with the lengths of 15.0-16.0cm, and arranging 3-4 buds on each cutting, wherein the distance between the bud at the upper end of the each cutting and the upper end of the cutting is 0.5-1.0cm; carrying out cottage cultivation, namely, carrying out vertical cottage on the selected cuttings in the garden plot at equal intervals according to the line spacing of 40-50cm and the planting distances of 10-12cm; carrying out water and fertilizer management, reshaping and pruning, and controlling the diseases and pests. According to the method, the mulberry branches are directly cultivated into the mulberry seedlings after being cut, so that the economic benefit is improved, the sericulture cost is lowered, and the demand of agricultural development is met.
