Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a chain wheel chamber of a diesel engine. The chain wheel chamber comprises a shell, a cover plate fixedly arranged on the shell, as well as a driving chain wheel and a driven chain wheel which are arranged in the shell, wherein the driving chain wheel is arranged on a driving shaft, the driven chain wheel is arranged on a driven shaft; in the axial direction of the driving shaft, the cover plate comprises a driving side dividing plate (11) which is opposite to the driving chain wheel, a driven side dividing plate (12) which is opposite to the driven chain wheel and a middle dividing plate connected between the driving side dividing plate (11) and the driven side dividing plate (12), and at least one of the driving side dividing plate (11), the driven side dividing plate (12) and the middle dividing plate is an arc-shaped plate. The arc-shaped plate has an arc-shaped structure; compared with the flat structure, the arc-shaped structure has the advantage that the inherent frequency of the cover plate is improved, so that the possibility of resonance between the chain wheel chamber and the other parts is reduced. Apparently, when the chain wheel chamber provided by the invention operates, the vibration and the noise generated by the chain wheel chamber are relieved, and the invention further discloses a diesel engine.
