The I/O request processing method of the cloud virtual file system includes: using the cloud virtual file system to receive an I/O request sent by a cloud application system; confirming the type of the I/O request according to parameters carried by the I/O request and a disk reading or writing position requested in the I/O request; invoking a distributed file system to respond to the I/O request or invoking a local file system based on a block device to respond to the I/O request according to the confirmed type of the I/O request.
