The cigarette weight adjusting device comprises a cigarette density detection unit, a PLC control unit, a servo motor, an eccentric execution mechanism, and a dual-roller module; the cigarette density detection unit, which is arranged in the downstream of a suction band, is connected to the PLC control unit; the PLC control unit is connected to the servo motor; the front end of the servo motor is connected to the eccentric execution mechanism; the lower end of the eccentric execution mechanism is connected to the dual-roller module, and the dual-roller module contacts with the suction band. In the adjusting method, cigarette weight parameters are set in the PLC control unit, and the cigarette density detection unit converts the received cigarette density signals into cigarette average weight signals and compares the cigarette average weight signals with the set cigarette weight signal through the PLC control unit. The cigarette weight adjusting device has the advantages of simple and compact structure, stable and reliable operation, small occupied space, and easy power arrangement, and is capable of improving the automation degree and production efficiency of a production line, and reducing the production cost.
