Zusammenfassung:	This invention relates to a method for producing pure terbium oxide by fractional extraction in which extract is p507, solution of chlorhydric acid of middle heavy rare earth with pH 5@0.5M is original material, terbium-dysprosium extracting groups seperation is the first step, and then gadolinium-terbium extracting groups seperation, terbium enriched organic phase from the gadolinium-terbium extracting groups seperation is used as the original material. With process according to the present invention terbium oxide with more than 99% purity which can be used as green powder of three basic color phospher powder can be produced, and gadolinium oxide of 90% purity, yttrium oxide of 50% purity and dysprosium oxide of about 85% purity are produced as by-product.
