Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a lever-like cam follower (1) for a valve train of an internal combustion engine, which cam follower (1) comprises a bearing point (2) for pivotable support of the cam follower with respect to a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine and which cam follower (1) comprises a contact surface (6) on the underside (3) of the cam follower (1) for a gas exchange valve, wherein the upper face (7) of the cam follower (1) has at least one sliding surface (8) for a counter-rotation of a cam or a cam group, and wherein the sliding surface (8) is automatically self-aligning with respect to the cam/cam group.
