Zusammenfassung:Provided are an impact-bearing member that through a connecting piece can more efficiently disperse stress applied from a mount to a rear surface plate when the impact-bearing member bears a load from the front, and a fender in which the impact-bearing member is installed on the front surface of a fender main body. An impact-bearing member (10), which is installed on the front surface of a fender main body (2), is provided with a rear surface plate (11) positioned on the side of the fender main body, a front surface plate (12) that faces the rear surface plate (11), a connecting piece (14) that connects the front surface plate (12) and the rear surface plate (11), and a mount (20) having a rear surface plate coupler (21b) that is coupled to the rear surface of the rear surface plate (11); and is characterized in that when a rear end cross section of the connecting piece (14) and a front end cross section of the rear surface plate coupler (21b) are projected onto a shared projection plane that is substantially orthogonal to an axial center line of the fender main body (2), the surface area of the portion of the rear end cross section of the connecting piece (14) that overlaps the front end cross section of the rear surface plate coupler (21b) is 25% or more of the total surface area of the front end cross section of the rear surface plate coupler (21b) within the projection plane.
