The invention discloses a push method for a quick link and a server. In the embodiment of the invention, the push method comprises the following steps: receiving an operation request for accessing a browser of a client by the server, and identifying whether or not the client has identity information; acquiring the identity information of the client according to an identification result; monitoring the state of the client based on the identity information; and pushing the quick link to the client according to the identity information and the state of the client. Compared with a push way of embedding the quick link into a browser installation package in the prior art, the push method has the beneficial effects that the quick link can be pushed to the client timely and conveniently, and the intelligence of quick link pushing is enhanced.
