Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to steel for large-diameter grinding balls and a preparation method of the steel. The steel comprises, by mass, 0.71% to 0.79% of C, 0.25% to 0.35% of Si, 0.80% to 0.95% of Mn, 0.80% to 0.90% of Cr, smaller than or equal to 0.025% of P, smaller than or equal to 0.025% of S, 0.05% to 0.10% of Ni, 0.03% to 0.08% of Mo, 0.020% to 0.050% of Al, smaller than or equal to 0.40% of Cu, smaller than or equal to 0.030% of Ti, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. The preparation method of the steel includes the steps of electric furnace smelting, LF refining, VD vacuum degassing treatment, continuous casting full-protection casting round billet production, and rolling for acquisition of the round steel. The manufactured large-specification grinding balls are good in impact strength and abrasion resistance. |
