The invention provides a method for manufacturing a side-leakage-proof absorption article. Leak-proof strips can be integrally formed on two transverse sides of an absorption core. The method comprises an absorption core forming procedure and an upper-layer elastic sheet and lower-layer hydrophilic non-woven fabric wrapping procedure, wherein in the absorption core forming procedure, semicircular strip-shaped grooves, extending in the length direction of an absorption core forming groove, are downwardly formed in two sides of the absorption core forming groove, so that the semicircular leak-proof strips are arranged on the two sides of the absorption core which is demolded from a forming drum; and in the upper-layer elastic sheet and lower-layer hydrophilic non-woven fabric wrapping procedure, when an upper-layer elastic sheet and lower-layer hydrophilic non-woven fabric wrap the absorption core through gluing and are then rolled by a roller, press-in bulges are respectively formed on the outer sides of the roller and correspond to the two side edges of all the leak-proof stripes of the absorption core, and after the wrapped absorption core is rolled by the roller, at the two side edges of the leak-proof stripes, the upper-layer elastic sheet and the lower-layer hydrophilic non-woven fabric are mutually connected fixedly.
