The invention discloses an open type TBM with a segment installation function. The open type TBM comprises a cutter head, a main drive and a shield. The cutter head is fixed to the foremost end of the shield, the main drive is fixed to the shield, and the rear end of the cutter head is fixedly connected with the main drive. A main beam is fixedly arranged in the middle of the shield, a segment erector, propulsion oil cylinders and supporting shoes are arranged on the main beam in sequence, piston rods of the propulsion oil cylinders are hinged to the supporting shoes, the supporting shoes are arranged on the main beam in a sliding mode, and grooves are formed in the supporting shoes. The supporting shoes arranged on the main beam support the two sides of a tunnel, the propulsion oil cylinders enable the cutter head to perform tunneling under the propulsion of the main drive, the segment erector splices prefabricated segments, and then tunnel supporting is achieved. In this way, the quality of tunnel supporting is greatly improved, the multiple construction processes of anchor rod driving and guniting construction are omitted, the construction efficiency and the construction environment inside the tunnel are improved, accordingly, the number of constructors and auxiliary devices is decreased, and the construction cost is lowered.
