The invention discloses a gauge for a main pipe of an automobile instrument board beam. The gauge comprises a bottom plate, a clamping mechanism and a detecting mechanism. The bottom plate is a rectangular plate, and coordinate scale lines are drawn on the surface of the bottom plate. The clamping mechanism comprises a detecting base installed in the middle of the bottom plate, a head portion fixing piece, a tail portion fixing piece and two pressing hands, wherein the head portion fixing piece and the tail portion fixing piece are installed at the two ends of the detecting base respectively, and the two pressing hands are installed on one side of the detecting base in a spaced mode. A groove is formed in the upper end face of the detecting base. The shape of the side face of the groove is matched with the contour shape of the main pipe. A plurality of detecting holes corresponding to the main pipe are formed in the bottom face of the groove. The detecting mechanism comprises a plurality of detecting pins inserted in the detecting holes of the detecting base, a plurality of surface difference gauges and a plurality of go-no-go fixed gauges, wherein the surface difference gauges and the go-no-go fixed gauges are installed on the detecting base. The gauge is easy to operate and low in price and can rapidly detect a product, and the product can be taken to a primary scene to be detected at any time.
