A lighting strip 1 for an aircraft interior with a circuit board 12 is proposed, wherein the circuit board 12 extends along a longitudinal extension L of the lighting strip 1, with a group of LEDs 8, wherein the LEDs 8 are arranged on the circuit board 12 and are powered by a power supply voltage, wherein the LEDs 8 are arranged in an LED network 7 and wherein the LED network 7 can adopt different operating states, with a controllable current sink arrangement 6 for converting electrical energy transported via the connection 16, 3 into heat, with a control apparatus 9 for controlling the current sink arrangement 6, wherein the current sink arrangement 6 comprises a plurality of individual sink devices 15 arranged electrically in parallel with one another for converting the electrical energy into heat, wherein the individual sink devices 15 are arranged distributed on the circuit board 12 along the longitudinal extension L of the circuit board 12.
