Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a prepreg, a phosphorus-containing compound, a hardener for epoxy resin, and an aluminum hydroxide epoxy resin composition are impreganated in reinforced fiber to form the prepreg, the central particle diameter of the aluminum hydroxide is below the diameter of the reinforced fiber, the harnener for epoxy resin is dicyandiamide. According to the prepreg, the epoxy resin composition can give a composite material which has excellent flame retardancy even when neither a halogenated flame retardant, nor red phosphorus, nor a phosphoric acid ester is contained therein; it is also possible to provide a prepreg and a fiber-reinforced composite material obtained using the prepreg.
