Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a single-piece oil control ring for mounting in a piston ring groove, comprising a body that defines at least one upper portion (2) and one lower portion (2') facing the wall of the cylinder (C) of an internal combustion engine, each of the portions defining a first surface (4) that is substantially perpendicular to the body, and from which a second, substantially slanted surface (5) projects, the second surface (5), the first surface defining a first contact area (A1) with the cylinder wall, at least 95% of the first area (A1) contacting the cylinder wall upon the initial engine assembly.
