The upright elevator comprises a cabin and a floor, wherein the plurality of safety airbags are uniformly arranged on the floor and connected with an inflation system used for inflating the safety airbags when the elevator quickly descends or falls off; the plurality of first buffer armrests are uniformly distributed at the top of the cabin and connected with the top of the cabin through springs; seat panels capable of being unfolded and folded are further connected to side walls of the cabin through hinges; the seat panels are perpendicular to the side walls when being in an unfolded state and are clung to the side walls when being in a folded state; concave parts used for accommodating the seat panels in a folded state are formed in the side walls and matched in shape with the seat panels, and handle positions are arranged on the edges of the seat panels; the plurality of second buffer armrests are correspondingly arranged on the side walls of the cabin, and the distance between each second buffer armrest and the floor is smaller than one meter.
